Purebred Scottish Fold Kitten - 1-3 Months Old

Purebred Scottish Fold Kitten - 1-3 Months Old Highlights

• Distinctive Folded Ears: Scottish Folds are famous for their unique, naturally folded ears, which give them an owl-like appearance. This trait is caused by a genetic mutation that affects cartilage throughout the body.
• Sweet and Gentle Temperament: Known for being affectionate, placid, and good-natured, Scottish Folds often enjoy human company. They are typically not overly demanding and can adapt well to various living situations.
• Playful and Curious Nature: Despite their calm demeanor, Scottish Folds retain a playful spirit throughout their lives. They enjoy interactive toys and can be quite curious about their surroundings.
• Moderate Grooming Needs: Both short-haired and long-haired varieties require regular brushing, typically once or twice a week, to prevent matting and keep their coat healthy. Pay attention to ear cleaning due to their fold.
• Potential Health Considerations: Due to the gene responsible for their folded ears, Scottish Folds can be prone to osteochondrodysplasia, a condition affecting cartilage and bone development. Responsible breeding practices aim to minimize these risks.
• Good with Families: Their gentle and adaptable nature makes Scottish Folds generally well-suited for families with children and other pets. They tend to be patient and enjoy being part of household activities.
