DBX 266XL Dual-Channel Compressor/Gate

DBX 266XL Dual-Channel Compressor/Gate Highlights

• Classic dbx Compression: The dbx 266XL is known for its signature dbx sound, offering versatile compression and gating for dynamic control. It's a staple for shaping audio in studios and live settings.
• Independent Gate and Compressor: Features separate, fully adjustable controls for both the compressor and the expander/gate. This allows for precise manipulation of dynamics and noise reduction.
• Overeasy & Hard Knee Compression: Offers both Overeasy and Hard Knee compression modes. Overeasy provides a smoother, more musical transition into compression, while Hard Knee offers a more aggressive, immediate effect.
• Stereo/Dual Mono Operation: Can be used as a single stereo compressor/gate or as two independent mono units. This flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from tracking to mixdown.
• Sidechain Input: Includes a sidechain input, allowing an external signal to control the compression or gating action. This is useful for de-essing or creating ducking effects.
