Original Shure SM7B Microphone Highlights

• Industry Standard Broadcast Mic — The Shure SM7B is a dynamic vocal microphone renowned for its smooth, warm vocal reproduction. It's a staple in broadcast studios and for voice-over work due to its ability to handle high sound pressure levels and reject off-axis noise.
• Cardioid Polar Pattern — This microphone features a cardioid polar pattern, meaning it primarily picks up sound from the front. This directional pickup helps to minimize ambient noise and feedback, making it ideal for untreated rooms or noisy environments.
• Internal Pop Filter — The SM7B includes an internal pop filter that effectively reduces plosive sounds (like 'p' and 'b' sounds) without the need for an external windscreen. This results in cleaner vocal recordings.
• Excellent for Vocals & Voice-Overs — Its design makes it exceptionally well-suited for capturing vocals, podcasts, and voice-overs. It excels at taming harsh frequencies and providing a rich, full sound.
• Requires Significant Gain — As a dynamic microphone with a relatively low output, the SM7B typically requires a high-gain, clean preamplifier or a Cloudlifter/FetHead to achieve optimal signal levels.
